Celebrating Black History Month!

I gotta say, I love a pretty face framed my mountainous hair.  I just love the look of it, so in keeping with that idea I did some paintings:

I was thinking of these while painting them, btw, from the film The Shining. They have left a HUGE impression on me.

Colored Pencil Sketches

It's really fun to just mess around with colored pencils.  I kinda just grab the color that's enticing me most and go from there.

I'll keep doing some colored pencils and post. Sorry about some of the awful scan jobs.  My last sketchbook was bound, my new one's spiral so the scans will be easier.
