Celebrating Black History Month!

I gotta say, I love a pretty face framed my mountainous hair.  I just love the look of it, so in keeping with that idea I did some paintings:









I was thinking of these while painting them, btw, from the film The Shining. They have left a HUGE impression on me.

    OH MAN!! I am loving this. but I need some big hoop earrings. I so wished I looked like that when I was younger. the vision of a super fro w the hoops= bitchin.
